(06/30/2017) John McEnroe, 1 – PC Silliness, 0.  McEnroe said that while Serena Williams is the best female tennis player ever, she'd rank around 700 in the men's rankings.  The PC crowd is up in arms, but it is probably true.  Did you know that for the last Olympics, the winning time in the women's 100 meters was beaten by 8 or 9 high school boys in the same year.  And the US women's national soccer team was recently beaten 5-2 by a bunch of 15 y.o. boys.  This is exactly why we have men's sports and women's sports.  There are very few sports where women can truly compete with the men.  And now the same people who demanded that women's sports get equal funding with men's sports are trying to destroy women's sport by allowing biological males to compete as women.  Does the mind not boggle at this nonsense?

(05/04/2017) Sanders: 'Not a Radical Idea' to Hike 'Starvation Minimum Wage.'  People that favor big government think that it is appropriate to use government to force behavior that otherwise would not occur.  Sometimes this is good (the government tries to "force" people to not commit crimes).  Sometimes it is bad.  The minimum wage, any minimum wage, is bad.  Why?  Because a person's labor is never worth more than someone is willing to pay.  Lots of workers will be automated out of a job; others will never get hired in the first place.  A first job, typically low-paying, has always been the first step up the career ladder - an essential step where good work habits and some essential skills are acquired.  Contrary to Sander's assertion, few people earning at or near the current minimum wage are supporting a family, or even fully supporting themselves.  A high minimum wage will be a disaster, but it allows politicians to preen and virtue signal - which, I suppose, is more important to them than anything else.
