(09/21/2017) Made to Care: The Illiberality of LGBT Politics.  Neither the author nor the commenters bring up the Bible or Christianity very much, but it was in my mind the entire time I was reading.  Still definitely worth reading.

(09/19/2017) Woman Raised by Lesbians: I Craved That 'Male Stability, That Father in My Life.'  In ruling in favor of SSM some time ago, a judge referred to studies that claimed that being raised by same sex couples was just as good as being raised by male-female couples.  It was just an excuse.  The great majority of studies indicate that children do better with a mother and a father.    Such evidence, however, will never be used to rule against SSM.  Note the ratchet effect.  Once the Left gains ground, no matter how devious or false the methods, that ground is never given up.   This needs to change and it will never change if we do nothing.

(09/13/2017) Your Beliefs Are No Longer Allowed.  This trend is most obvious in LGBT issues - you must not merely allow, you must affirm!  But it is expanding to cover many other areas as well.  Liberals used to be the biggest supporters of freedom of consciences, but sadly, most liberals seem to have become Leftists and support such freedoms for only one side of the political spectrum now.

(08/31/2017) Olympic Committee Buckles to LGBT Pressure With Rule Change.  Apparently they will allow men who "identify" as women to compete as women in the 2018 Winter Games.  This is so unbelievable that I find it hard to credit it.  If they follow through we are basically putting an end to women's sports.  If I were a female athlete, I'd boycott these Olympics.  Are they going to do the same with the Summer Games?  Just when you think the world cannot get more insane, it gets more insane.  Put an end to the insanity.  Pray for Revival!

Who Decides?  I am going just establish a little standard here without making any judgment about whether something that is not "normal" is good or bad.  Anything that impacts less than 5% of the population is not "normal."  Whether it is good or bad or neutral is another issue, along with whether anything should be done about it.  When it comes to transgenderism, or for that matter, homosexuality, progressives declare them to be "normal."  This has the effect of making any further debate (from the progressives perspective) totally unnecessary and nothing but a sign of bigotry, etc.  This is a standard tactic of the Left.

(07/22/2017) It never was about gay marriage; it was always about destroying religion.  This post is at Bookworm Room, a site I visit every day.  The typical post might get a dozen comments over the span of several days.  This one got over 100 in just a day, with many, many of those comments pro-gay and / or anti-Christian.  Whether pay is involved or not, it is clear that homosexual activists are directed to articles such as this one in order to swamp it with comments reflecting their point of view.  Why in the world cannot Christians do the same?  I'm not sure whether laziness or fear of being called a bigot is the biggest factor.

(02/25/2017) Ohio LGBT Group Announces Plans to Target Churches for Homosexual Weddings.  Remember back when civil unions were all the rage and the activists said that civil unions were all they really wanted or needed?  We have reached the point where the whole concept of anti-discrimination classes needs to be revoked.  As a practical matter, it has become legal to discriminate against anyone who does not belong to a "protected" class. 

 

(02/25/2017) Governor’s Mansion ‘Queer Dance Freakout’ Protests ‘Bathroom Bill.’  I seriously wonder if these people think this kind of thing will help their cause.  That said, Trump returning responsibility to the states regarding bathroom and locker room use was a very smart decision.  I have always been convinced that one reason that progressives demand that all their desires be implemented at the national level is so politicians at the state level don't have to take the heat.  Now, states can go along with Obama's "orders," but they are going to have to take responsibility.  They can no longer blame it on the feds, and that is good news.

 

(02/23/2017) What ‘Uproar’ Over Repealing the Obama Transgender Bathroom Directive?  Why is it that views that carry mainstream support are presented by the MSM as "extreme," while views that are often not very popular are presented as mainstream?  I think we all know the answer.

 

(02/19/2017) DOJ Tells Baltimore Cops What Pronouns They Must Use.  This, as much as anything, tells us why the swamp must be drained.  The bureaucracies are full of people who put this kind of stuff in consent decrees, in regulations, in everything.  Imagine if instead they included requirements upholding traditional values?  The press would go bonkers.  Instead, silence.

(02/16/2017) Washington’s Supreme Court Imposes Its Progressive Faith on a Christian Florist.  This is a horrible ruling and goes to show that while Trump may be an improvement over Obama, the courts are still a disaster.  It is especially galling given how many on the Left are declaring their unwillingness to serve Trump supporters.  And of course, she didn't refuse to serve homosexuals, since she had served them many times before.  She just refused to participate in a SSM.  This will be appealed to the Supreme Court.  Let us hope and pray that we have Gorsuch gets approved quickly.  Update: here is more - Court Puts Objecting Florist’s House, Personal Property at Risk for Seizure.  Update: More - Shame on the Silent Christian Leaders Who Refuse to Stand Against Government Tyranny.  Indeed.  Where are our churches, pastors and leaders?  We are just sitting back and letting this happen, hoping that somebody else will do something about it.

(01/14/2017) United Methodists Will Spend 75 Weeks Praying About Accepting Homosexuality.  It looks like they have decided to go down the same path as the PCUSA, Episcopalians, Lutherans and more.  I guess they have decided that they need to add some veneer to cover the fact that they are choosing to ignore the Bible.  But I should not be so cynical.  Perhaps they really will pray and God will answer and they will listen.  It is just that when you decide to pray about something the Bible is very clear about, you may have already made up your mind to act contrary to God's Word.  We shall see.
