(02/27/2018) Presbyterian Minister Writes New Book to Make the “Christian Argument for Abortion.”  She is PCUSA, which is hardly a surprise, and why my wife and I left the PCUSA years ago.  In any case, as far as I can tell from the article, her "case" for abortion doesn't rely very much on the Bible.  Given that she has had abortions herself, I cannot help but think she is working hard to justify herself.  A far more practical and effective approach would be to simply confess her sin, repent and ask God for forgiveness.  Nah.  Confessing sin is way too old-fashioned.

(01/29/2018) Hush, Now.  Abortion is not the only issue where the truth is being covered up.  But it is a biggie.  In the interests of left-wing politics, most women considering an abortion are not presented with the facts concerning how the abortion could affect them, much less information about the baby they are carrying.  They are only hit with these negative consequences after the fact - some soon, some much later.  It is bad enough that we often refuse to look at readily available information when making decisions.  It is far worse when that information is concealed from us.

(01/26/2018) Some Religious Groups Transmit Their Teachings on Abortion Better Than Others.  The Catholic Church is probably the most clear in its opposition to abortion, yet 48% of Catholics support abortion!  Southern Baptists officially oppose abortion, yet 30% of Southern Baptist favor abortion.  That number is pretty shocking to me given that our specific SBC church is specifically opposed, and I know of no members that support abortion.  In any case, the article has some interesting numbers, so check it out.

(10/20/2017) What's Progressive about Abortion?  This is a good article on the history of abortion.  It is no surprise that abortion and the "sexual revolution" go hand in hand, and part of the package is a rejection of traditional Judeo-Christian values.  Why do progressives love abortion so?  Because they don't want people to "suffer" for making poor personal choices.  Of course, if people don't suffer the consequences of making poor choices, then they will make even more poor choices.  One reason American culture has been spiraling down for so long is that we have demanded that the government not only help us avoid the consequences of poor choices, but to positively reward us (welfare being a case in point - but there are more examples).
