(03/28/2018) Holy Cross Theology Professor Says Jesus Was a ‘Drag King’ with ‘Queer Desires.’  Read it and weep.  When I took a preaching course, the key element was this: I would be speaking on behalf of God and I had to make sure I got it right.  That is an awesome responsibility.  This professor is simply creating God in his own image, a habit which is all too common today.

(02/15/2018) Court Orders North Carolina to Pay $300,000 for Forcing Christian Magistrate to Resign.  She was forced to resign because she refused to perform same sex marriages.  Note that progressives are 100% cool, not with merely imposing their views on others, but punishing those that won't go along.  But never forget that they are the tolerant ones and Love Trumps Hate.

(02/05/2018) Episcopal Church votes no masculine pronouns for God.  Sigh.  I grew up in a town with an episcopal seminary.  It is sad to see this, although plenty of churches have wisely left the denomination.  This is only one diocese, so far, but the departures will continue.

(01/24/2018) Politico Botches Basic Fact In Hit Piece On Christian HHS Staffers.  While the Politico article is incorrect in several ways, including that they have no clue what an "evangelical" is, It seems that concerns that transgenders and other LGBT people have about what evangelicals want to do must be taken seriously and acted upon.  Concerns that others may have over what transgenders and LGBT folks not only want to do, but are doing, are of no importance and can be ignored.  Interesting how it works, isn't it?

(11/02/2017) Do We Live in a Diseased Culture?  This is an excellent article  with much food for thought.  There are a number of areas where we have public health concerns and in addition to researching for cures, we also discourage the behavior that leads to the problem.  And not just the health care professionals, but our media and entertainment industries.  What was the most recent movie you've seen with smoking, heavy drinking and gluttony?  What is the one area of behavior that leads to just as serious health consequences, yet is not discouraged?  Sexual promiscuity and homosexual activity.  Interesting, is it not?  Somewhat related is this article: The Left Is Just Full Of Miserable People.  Surveys show that conservatives are happier than liberals, that the religious are happier than the non-religious, that married and faithful are happier than those that are not.  Are there lessons to be learned from this?  Sure, but they are lessons that our media, our politicians, our entertainers and our academics do not wish to promote.  Are you up for more?  Why not?  Sex: The Progressives' Problem.

(10/28/2017) Trans Charged with Raping Young Girl in Bathroom.  Are "trans" people more likely to commit rape?  Who knows.  But we have a fundamental problem of moving away from traditional safeguards (to say nothing of traditional values).  And as I have said many times, transgendered people need help, not affirmation.

(10/20/2017) Pushing Back Against Transanity in the Sports World.  It seems totally obvious that people that are physically (from a sports perspective) men, should not compete in women's sports.  The problem is that from a progressive perspective, all rule are subject to change based on the latest progressive fad.  The new "rules" we are seeing today would have been considered unthinkable just a few years ago.  This is why I stand on the firm foundation of God's Word, which is unchanging and not subject to constant revision (except in some liberal denominations).

(10/12/2017) Feds Unconstitutionally Funding $600,000 LGBT Safe Zone With Your Money.  Whether it is constitutional or not doesn't address the fundamental issue.  $600K is a lot of money and a lot can be done with it.  Government thinks tossing $600K at their buddies to do a worthless study is peanuts.  I have a little rule to evaluate government spending.  I consider families that are moderately well-off, paying $10K in federal income tax.  How many would it take to fund project x.  In this case, every penny of 60 families went to fund this boondoggle.  Does anyone not think that those 60 families would have put $10K each to much better use?
